"This was truly an amazingly humbling experience and a great honor to be able to leave such a powerful mark for unforgettable people who served their country with integrity in an uncomfortable space. A memorial for those to come who serve and those who house the facility. I wish to bring warmth, comfort and ease of mind in the middle of uncertain place."

MURAL REVEAL| at Cobb County Sheriff Office/Jail

•Celebration of Life Memorial Mural for Deputy Koleski and Deputy Ervin

-End of Watch September 8, 2022

I was commissioned by COL Michael A. Williams to create a mural to replace a weatherproof banner for the Sheriff’s Office of Cobb County. I was given full creative executive ability.

Throughout the process I continued to show up each day and go off the dome with whatever called my spirit at that time. It was free handed drawn on and birthed throughout the course of four months.

The Cherabim angels on the side were one of the first visions that came to me. Symbolizing welcome home or being walked to the gates of Eden or heaven and having that homecoming moment with God. I wanted them to be blue as the clouds surrounding them giving a translucent appearance or aura.

While creating this mural I recieved many different reactions along the course of completion. So you can guess there were some anxious moments. Many people were able to resonate with the portraits of the deputies and there were others who may have felt strongly opposed at times.

During this process I lost two of my animals that were dear to my heart. My chameleon Rosemary and my Guinea pig John Deer. So I continued to be resilient and show up every day with a great attitude and my heart was free to spill out all over my work so I truly enjoyed being able to have full creative ability without time restraints. It made this process flow very smoothly.

Special Thanks 🙏
